More difficult than it looks, you are curving in your abs to round out the spine, rolling back to your shoulders, then using your abs to roll yourself to a half-seated position. If you need to, you can use your arms placed on the knees to help round out your spine. You want the motion to be as fluid as possible, so you really have to "crunch" in your abs.
