This variation uses a heavier dumbbell instead of a medicine ball. Drop the ball to one side as you shoulders shift to the same side and the ball shifts the other way. Breathe out as the dumbbell comes up. Use caution not going too heavy as it can stress your spine. Skip this exercise if you have known disk problems. Move slowly so you don't come off the swiss ball.
